Where Are You Based?

We are a Cape Town based company that currently offers rental services to the Cape Peninsula area and we sell and distribute all other goods offered on our website country wide.

Does The Price Include Delivery?

No, rental delivery costs are calculated upon completing your online booking. The delivery cost is clculated based upon your delivery address filled in on your order and not the billing address. So if the venue is on a wine farm out in Paarl the delivery fee will be calculated accordingly. Also refer to our rental delivery Rental Delivery Information page for more information.

When should I book an Item?

You should book the item you are interested in as soon as you are able to also pay for that booking. We do not hold booking and ALL booking must be paid upon completing the online booking.

When Do I Pay?

Payment is required upon completing your online order or booking . “NO PAY, NO PLAY”.

BiemBie is a well known play equipment sale & rental company. We have never missed, been late or simply just not delivering for an event or completed order. You are welcome to contact us directly via the website and the phone numbers supplied when making a booking or completed an online purchase.

Can I Keep The Rental Play Equipment Overnight?

This is only done by special arrangement. All our castles can be hired overnight for an additional price of 50% of the total hire cost. This only applies to secure gardens, and you must accept full responsibility for the equipment. This also only applies if the castle has not been booked already for the next morning. If it has been booked for the next day then we will not allow overnight stay. In some cases it will also be required to hold the item over night at no additional charge due to logistical reasons.

How Big Is The Play Equipment?

There are pictures with dimensions of the equipment on the respective product pages.

What If The Equipment Does Not Fit In My Garden?

It is the customer’s responsibility to measure their garden and accurately assess whether the play equipment will fit or not. Should the client get the measurement incorrect and we are unable to fit the play equipment into the area, the client may request that we deliver different play equipment at additional cost to the client provided that any are available. If this is the case, the client will be liable for double delivery costs as we will be doing the same delivery twice.

What About The Access To My Property?

We rely on the information supplied by you to ensure that you get the correct equipment on the day. We reserve the right to deny delivery should we encounter that the area is not suitable or impossible to manoeuvre. An example of this would be where clients have 60 stairs to their property, no gates to rear of house, narrow alleyways with obstructions. Please tell us at the time of booking if you have any narrow access ways, a torturous route, or if there are lots of steps to the location.

Do You Deliver To All Areas?

No. We deliver to the greater part of Cape Town. There are however some areas that we do not deliver to. Refer to Rental Delivery Information document for more information.

Can I Collect The Play Equipment?

No. All our equipment is delivered and setup on site.

What If It Rains?

If it is raining on the day of your party, you can change your booking prior to delivery. Almost all of our play equipment are usable indoors. Please refer to our terms and conditions of rental regarding refund and date changes.

Do You Have Play Equipment That Can Be Used Indoors?

All of our play equipment can be used indoors with the exception of the jumping castles.

Do You Hire Generators For The Castles?

Yes we do. Please refer to our rental category of the website for further details.

Can Adults Go On The Play Equipment?

Our play equipment is for children up to the age of 12, and will not withstand the weight of an adult. Overloading the equipment damages it beyond repair and you are liable for replacement. Please refer to our terms and conditions of equipment hire for further details.

How Many Children Can Use The Jumping Castle At The Same Time?

Do not allow more than 8 children on a jumping castle at any single given time. This will result in overcrowding and possible injury to the children. This is only a guideline and will vary dependant on the size and age of the children.

What Must I Do Before The Play Equipment Arrives?

It would be appreciated if all sharp objects, stones, sticks, obstruction and animal mess be removed from the area where the equipment will be installed. For water slides, a hosepipe and supply of water must be supplied. It is also recommended that you have some idea of where you will be getting power from and how you will need the equipment positioned/erected. Our delivery guys will endeavor to accommodate you as much as possible within the timescales at their disposal. We generally have a lot of equipment to deliver within a very short time frame and therefore advise them that a delivery and erection of equipment be done in 15-25 minutes. We need clear and as close as possible access to the location you would like equipment situated. Jumping castles will be wheeled to the location on a trolley. The jumping castle and trolley are approximately +- 800mm wide (castle dependent). Please make sure that your sprinkler system is switched off for the duration of the play equipment hire and point out the sprinkler pipes so we do not damage them when securing the jumping castle with metal pegs.

What Surface Can The Play Equipment Be Used On?

The inflatable can go on grass, paving, tiles, cement floor.  The roller coaster will work on hard and soft surfaces, but all the equipment is better used on soft clean surfaces like grass.

My Garden Is On A Slope/Angle/Gradient; Can I Still Have A Jumping Castle?

Please advise us at the time of booking if your garden is not level, it may be necessary for us to visit your garden prior to your party to tell you if it is suitable for jumping castle hire or not. This visit will be at an additional cost. Normally we are able to secure the castle to prevent any side movements. It remains the clients responsibility to ensure that the site is suitable for the use of the equipment.

How Long Does It Take To Set Up The Play Equipment?

We usually take 15-20 minutes to set up the equipment.

When Do You Deliver / Collect?

We deliver and collect as close as possible to the requested times when making a booking. These are used as a guideline as we cannot be in more than one place at a time. Collections are between 5pm and 7pm. We will always try to accommodate your party hours, so please ask at the time of the booking if the collection should be later. Please note that we do not collect later than 7pm, only on prior arrangement.

Can The Inflatable Be In Contact With Walls And Trees?

No, the jumping castle can suffer abrasion damage if it’s in direct contact with branches or walls. When we deliver the jumping castle we will place it so as to avoid contact with these damaging surfaces.

Can I Switch The Fan Off If The Party Has Finished?

Yes, just switch off the power and unplug the extension lead from your socket. Please be aware that the jumping castle will deflate very quickly. Make sure that there is nobody on the jumping castle when you switch it off. Please do not allow anybody to walk on the jumping castle once it is deflated, this also causes damage to the jumping castle.

When Should I Order?

It is recommended that you order your desired play equipment at least a month prior to your event to avoid disappointment.

Do I Need To Clean The Jumping Castle Before You Collect It?

No. All our jumping castles are inspected, washed and sanitised by us within 48 hours of return. We will charge clients where foodstuff, paints, tape and other foreign substances are found on our castles that require specialised cleaning services.

What about Damage to the Inflatables?

The customer is liable for damage, other than normal wear and tear, to both the jumping castle and the motor. One of the conditions of hire is that we would notify the customer within 24 hours of any damage to the inflatable. We then get a repair quote from our supplier which is discussed with the customer and go ahead with the repairs. As we DO NOT patch our jumping castles and replace whole damaged sections it is imperative that the customer ensure that no animals or any action (e.g. paint, pens, tape) that could damage the castle or motor, be allowed near it for the duration of rental.

Are Your Castles Clean?

Yes, they are vacuumed and cleaned with an antibacterial solution.  Please keep in mind that if you have a Sunday booking that the castle will have gone out the Saturday and unfortunately my guys are not always able to clean the castle 100% before they deliver it to you for a Sunday party.  In this case they will clean it properly when they deliver it at your house/venue.

Can I Change The Booking Date?

Date changes can only be accommodated if at least 5 working days’ notice has been given and if the items are still available on the new requested date. Less than 5 working days’ notice will result in you losing any money paid except the delivery fee, which is refunded) and a new booking will need to be made. No money will be carried over to the other date due to us losing out on a booking. Only written date changes will be accepted (e-mail). Date changes that has been made 5 working days before party date, has 31 days to re-book the party, otherwise you forfeit any money paid

Identification of BiemBie Products

Placing an item in the shopping basket does not constitute an agreement of sale between BiemBie and the user. We will not be held liable if such items are not available when the order is completed later.

Stock availability

Stocks of all goods on offer are limited. We will remove such an item from the sales order if no stock is available. BiemBie shall take all reasonable efforts to ensure that when stock is no longer available, that offers thereof are discontinued. However, should BiemBie be unable to fulfil any order placed by you at the advertised price due to stock having sold out, BiemBie will notify you and you will be entitled to a refund of the amount paid by you for such product, as explained in more detail under the “Agreements of Sale” clause below and in the Return & Refund Policy.

Errors

Please note that although BiemBie endeavours to accurately describe and/or depict each product on the Website, some descriptions or photographs may be of a generic nature and not specific to the particular product you wish to buy. However, should you be dissatisfied with the product you receive for any reason, you are entitled to return the product to BiemBie for a full refund within 30 days of delivery. Agreements of Sale

An agreement of sale between BiemBie and a user only comes into effect if and when a payment of an electronic transfer or bank deposit is reflected on BiemBie bank account and only if such payment is received within 48 hours of sending the sales order. BiemBie reserves the right to refuse to accept and/or execute an order without reason. BiemBie also reserves the right to cancel orders in full or in part as circumstances dictate. BiemBie shall only be liable to refund monies already paid by the user as per the Return & Refund Policy agreement. We will take all reasonable efforts to maintain correct prices on the website and sales order. However, should errors occur and items are offered at incorrect prices, BiemBie will not be obliged to sell goods at such incorrect prices and shall only be liable to refund monies paid.

Termination of Sales, Cancellation of Orders & Blacklisting:

  • By BiemBie: BiemBie reserves the right, for purposes of preventing suspected fraud and/or where it suspects that you have created multiple User profiles to take advantage of a promotion or Coupon intended by BiemBie to be used once-off by you, to blacklist you on its database to refuse to accept or process payment on any order, and/or to cancel any sale concluded between you and BiemBie, in whole or in part, on notice to you. BiemBie shall only be liable to refund monies already paid by you (see BiemBie’s Return & Refund Policy in this regard), and accepts no other liability which may arise as a result of such blacklisting and/or refusal to process any order/sale.
  • By BiemBie: BiemBie reserves the right to cancel any sale/s in whole or in part, in the event of a permanent unavailability of stock of the product/s which you have ordered. Amounts payable by You

BiemBie does not know what import duties/levies may be payable and cannot calculate or estimate such costs.   • Errors: BiemBie shall take all reasonable efforts to accurately indicate prices and delivery charges. Payment Methods

Subject to any exceptions expressly mentioned below, your payment for any products ordered from BiemBie must be made to us in any one of the following ways:

Credit card payments:

  • At the time of placing the order, the transaction details are presented to the bank and payment is collected immediately. If the bank’s authorization is not obtained, the order will be cancelled. BiemBie may carry out certain fraud checks with the cardholder or the cardholder’s bank, should BiemBie be unable to verify the validity of the transaction the order will be cancelled.
  • Storing credit card details: BiemBie uses a third party payment gateway service of MyGate.

Bank deposits & Electronic Funds Transfer:

If you select to pay via this method, instructions will be given on how to deposit monies into BiemBie’s bank account and it would be subject to the following rules:

  • the exact amount must be paid;
  • the payment must be identified by supplying the order number and surname in the reference section of the deposit slip or on the electronic transfer;
  • no transfers may be made from ATM’s;
  • cheque deposits are subject to a clearing period.;
  • no bank deposits are accepted from outside the borders of South Africa; and your order will be cancelled if the amount due is not paid within 5 business days.

Delivery

Delivery Charges:

Delivery charges are calculated automatically based on the delivery destination, total value, weight and dimensions of all products included in an order, when the order is created. Please read our Delivery Information page for further details.

Delivery Methods

  • Local delivery (within South Africa)

Local delivery may be made in the following ways:

  • Door-to-door: You can have your parcel delivered by courier between 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.

NOTE: If your parcel weighs 10kg or more, a surcharge applies

  • International delivery (outside of South Africa)
  • International courier services. The delivery charges for each item purchased for international delivery will be calculated separately and you will be notified accordingly after the purchase have been completed.
  • All international deliveries are subject to the import and custom laws of that country, and BiemBie cannot be held responsible if a parcel or item is detained or confiscated due to these laws.

Delivery Periods

  • Delivery periods are only regarded as having commenced upon payment confirmation being received by BiemBie. If paying with a specific credit card for the first time on the Website, or if BiemBie regards the transaction to be large and/or unusual, BiemBie may carry out certain fraud checks with the cardholder’s bank and the delivery period shall only be regarded as having commenced upon completion of such checks.
  • Delivery periods are calculated based on business days only. Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays are not taken into account in calculating delivery periods. So, for example, if you order something over the weekend, the delivery period will only start running on the next business day.
  • If products with different delivery times are ordered together, the product with the longest delivery time will determine the delivery time of all the products in the order. So, if you want to order various products where some have a shorter delivery period than others, BiemBie recommends that you order such products separately from the products requiring longer delivery times.
  • BiemBie makes every effort to ensure that the information supplied on the Website is accurate. Where delays and out of stock situations occur, every reasonable effort will be made to inform the Purchaser.

Restrictions on Sales

Save for BiemBie being liable to you –

  • under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (“CPA”) in relation to any products sold by BiemBie to you via the Website; and
